Are your soaps really natural?

Yes. Every bar is made from nature-derived ingredients with no synthetic fragrances, no parabens, and no sulfates — just clean, effective ingredients you can feel good about using daily.

Do your soaps contain lye?

Lye is used in the traditional soapmaking process, but none remains in the final product. Once the oils and lye saponify (a chemical reaction), what’s left is pure, gentle soap — safe for even sensitive skin.

What does “non-toxic” really mean here?

It means we avoid ingredients that are linked to hormone disruption, irritation, or long-term harm. If we wouldn’t use it on ourselves or our kids, it doesn’t go in.

Is Butter & Lye good for sensitive skin?

Yes. That’s actually why we started — to create a gentle, effective alternative for skin that reacts easily. No mystery ingredients, no harsh additives. Just clean, non-toxic care that works.

Can I use this on my face and body?

Absolutely. Most of our soaps are formulated to be gentle enough for both — and many customers prefer the simplicity of one bar that does it all.

Will the bar last as long as a bottle of body wash?

If stored properly (dry between uses), each bar can last just as long — sometimes longer — than a typical bottle of body wash, with no plastic waste.

Yes. All of our packaging is recyclable, minimal, and designed to reduce waste. We believe clean skin shouldn’t come at the cost of a dirty planet.

Shipping & Returns

When will my order ship?

Orders usually ship within 2–3 business days. You’ll get a tracking number as soon as it’s on the way.

Do you offer free shipping?

We currently offer free shipping on all orders. You’ll see it applied automatically at checkout.

What if I don’t like the product?

We stand behind what we make. If something’s not right, reach out within 14 days from the delivery date and we’ll make it right — refund, replace, or recommend something better.
