I was catching up with the founder one day and the issue of my infant’s sensitive skin came up. She might have been 5-6 months at the time. I told Monique how my baby had some mild rough skin patches in random areas (creases behind her elbows/knees, on her feet/legs), which her pediatrician confirmed was mild eczema. She recommended the turmeric bar for its healing properties. I don’t know when exactly her skin cleared up, but once I ran out of the first bar I quickly ordered more! My father-in-law even noticed how the soap cleared up the baby’s skin and asked about it for some of his family members. Was her skin going to heal up on its own anyway or was it the soap??? I can’t say 100% but I do know you should definitely try this soap out!
This soap has saved my skin! I have sensitive skin and always had a hard time finding products that didn’t irritate me. I wanted to switch to bar soap to limit my waste. After some trial and error with companies, I found Butter and Lye. I ordered 3 soaps and decided to start with this one because I knew that turmeric has healing properties. It’s been almost 3 weeks and my skin is the best it’s ever been! 1000/10 recommend
This soap is an absolute must for soft, beautiful skin! I initially bought the gift set so that I could try out all of the soaps, and this one is my favorite. I was having issues with acne scarring, and this soap got rid of any acne I had and evened out my skin tone. My skin literally looked better the first time I used it. I use another B&L soap as my body soap, but really want to try this one as my body soap as well. I highly recommend this soap.

As an individual with often dry skin after showering with products that say they embody non drying chemicals, this bar is essential I feel moving forward for myself to use continuously. Slippery when wet, which I find to be better, but still amazing feel after my shower. The smell is absolutely amazing when in the shower also. I have found my skin response with glee because I finally found something that works for me. That’s absolutely amazing for me!
